Ukraine Launches Massive Drone Assault on Russian Airbases Ahead of Peace Talks

In a bold and novel raid, Ukraine launched a massive drone assault against several Russian airbases, including the strategic Olenya base, just north of Murmansk in the Arctic. The assault, compared by some analysts to traditional high-precision Israeli-type operations, destroyed or damaged some long-range bombers and key infrastructure. This is Ukraine's deepest and most advanced drone penetration of Russia since the war began and significantly increased the geographical span of the conflict.

The strike reportedly consisted of dozens of drones, some covering more than 1,800 kilometers, aimed at air bases used to conduct missile strikes on Ukrainian cities.
