In particular, Inter Miami, the hometown representative, will face Egypt's Al Ahly in the first match of the tournament at Miami's Hard Rock Stadium.
The matches are to be played in 11 American cities including Los Angeles, Atlanta, and Philadelphia, providing the country's supporters with an opportunity to watch top-class football. The group stage will run until June 26, when the knockout stage commences on June 28.
FIFA has signed an agreement with Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund (PIF) for the current year, following PIF's growing interest in global sport. The tournament has a substantial purse with the winner expected to rake in almost $100 million.
